Error Message

Exception occurred while retrieving the top-level SharePoint folders for team 'ACME Project 1' with group ID '00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000'.

The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

Cause

This error occurs when the Team doesn't have any files associated with it. 

Resolution

Within Microsoft Teams, navigate to the Team and click on 'Files' tab. This will trigger a SharePoint site to be provisioned for the purpose of storing files.
